Sioux County Capital, December 13, 1984

Miss Mildred P. VerSteeg, 81, of Orange City died Wednesday, December 5, in the Orange City hospital after a sudden illness.

Services were at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 8, in the Trinity Reformed Church in Orange City. The Rev. Donald R. Lenderink officiated. Burial was in Hope Cemetery at Hull. Visitation was 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., Friday, December 7 at the Van Etten-Oolman Funeral Home.

Miss VerSteeg was born Feb. 17, 1903 at Sioux Center. She was raised in Hull and moved to Orange City in about 1940. For many years she was a housekeeper at the Orange City Municipal Hospital.

She was a member of the Trinity Reformed Church, Reformed Church Women and Love Circle of the church.

Survivors include one sister, Miss Ada VerSteeg of Orange City.
