Mrs. Harry (Sadie) Hoekstra, 59. of Ireton died Saturday, February 26. in a Sioux City hospital after a lingering illness Services Tuesday March 1, in the First Reformed Church of Maurice. The Rev. Edward Fikse officiated. Burial was: in Sherman Township cemetery. Family visitation was from 7 to 9 pm. Monday, February 28, in the Van Gelder Funeral Home of Orange City.
Mrs. Hoekstra. the former Sadie Van Roekel, was born Oct. 18. 1923. at Sioux Center. She married Harry Hoekstra May 15, 1943. at Sioux City. They farmed in rural Maurice until 1981 when they retired and moved to Ireton. She was a. member of the First Reformed Church.

Survivors include her husband; two brothers, Abe of Maurice and Marion of Alton and one sister. Mrs. Gerrit (Nancy) Kooima of RockValley.
