Mrs. Wm. Hoeder, nee Bertha Vander Schaaf, passed away at the hospital at Cherokee on Wednesday morning, Aug. 4, 1943 at the age of 49 years. She had been cared for at the state hospital for the past year and a half and suffered a heart attach there early Wed. Morning.

Survivors include the husband and; one son Gilbert. Also four brothers, Rev. John Vander Schaaf of Alton, Ring Vander Schaaf of Sioux Center, Jake Vander Schaaf of LeMars and Ed Vander Schaaf of Orange City. She was preceded in death by one brother Ike Vander Schaaf and a sister Mrs. Albert Kosters both of Sioux Center.

Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon 1:30 at the house and 2:00 at the First Reformed church. Rev. Meengs will officiate. Interment will be made at the local Cemetery.
