RAY HEALD DIES AT LOS ANGELES
Ray Heald of Los Angeles, Calif., a former resident of Hawarden, passed away suddenly at his home 'Saturday morning. No further particulars of his death were received here. (Funeral services were held in Los Angeles.

Ray Heald was born in Hawarden on April 11, 1887, and grew to young manhood here. He was married to Blanche Ferguson in Hawarden. At one time he was employed in a bakery here and later he owned a bakery in Hawarden. He went from here to Akron where he also engaged in the bakery business. Later he moved onto a ranch near Summit, S. D., and from there he went to Anderson, Mo. About two years ago he went to Los Angeles, Calif., and engaged in war work..

Besides his wife he is survived by three children: Donald, who is in the army; Fred of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Vivian Sawyer of Neosho, Mo. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs, Ed Vander Vien of Los Angeles, Calif., and four brothers, Ed Heald of Silvertown, Ore., A. G. Heald of Hawarden, and Clifford and Clyde Heald of Denver, Colo.
