Grandson Dies Of Infantile Paralysis
Kenneth John Moore 4 years old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Moore of Cedar Rapids, died on Tuesday, Sept., 14th after a three day illness with Infantile Paralysis. He brother Ronald 8, waa also stricken and was in the hospital at the time of his brother's burial. The boys are the grandsons of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Mieras of Maurice. Their mother is the former Helma Mieras.
Kenneth was placed in an Iron Lung at the Cedar Rapids hospital, but since he had the disease in it's worst form, the Iron lung could not help him enough to save his life.
Ronald is improving nicely at present though it cannot yet be determined whether he will retain any crippling effects of the disease.
