Jacob Meendering, 89, of | P h o e n i x , Ariz., died Sunday, Feb. 12, at his
home.
Graveside services were Feb. 20 at Resthaven Park Cemenary, Glendale, Ariz.
Jacob (Jake) Meendering was born at Rock Valley Feb. 9, 1923, the son of John and Jessie Kooima Meendering. He was raised in the Rock Valley area and attended school there. Later the family moved to Boyden. He moved to Phoenix in 1959. He married Jannette Roneth of Phoneix in 1981. She died June 30, 2011.
He is survived by his stepchildren, David and wife Tina, Allen and wife Georgia, and Linda and husband Bert; nine step-grandchildren; eight step-great- grandchildren; five sisters, Gert De Groot, Boyden, Jo Mulder, Luverne, Minn.,
