SIOUX CENTER, Iowa - Johanna Rozeboom, 93, of Sioux Center died Thursday,Oct. 11, 2007, at Pleasant Acres Care Center in Hull, Iowa. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Reformed Church in Sioux Center, with the Rev. Roger Voskuil officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Johanna (Wolfswinkle) Rozeboom was born April 19, 1914, to Henry and Johanna
(Sandbulte) Wolfswinkle, on the family farm near Carmel, Iowa. She attended country school through the eighth grade. On June 14, 1933, she was joined in marriage to Art Rozeboom. They lived on a farm east of Sioux Center. In 1973, they moved to Orange City, Iowa for two years, then back to Sioux Center. Art preceded her in death in 1996. In 2001, she became a resident at the Regency Retirement Residence in Sioux Center. Her final two months were spent at the Pleasant Acres Nursing Home in Hull. She was a member of First Reformed Church. She enjoyed getting together with friends, spending time with family and doing needlework and crocheting. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter and her husband, Verna and Jim Reeverts
of Lakeland, Fla.; two sons and their wives, Henry and Margaret Rozeboom of
Lowell, Mich., and Vern and Kathy Rozeboom of Sioux Center; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Dena DeBey of Sioux Center; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Bernard Rozeboom; her parents; a brother and his wife, Joe and Stella Wolfswinkle; two sisters and their husbands, Hattie and Ralph Vander Berg and Jennie and Bernie Schoep; and a brother-in- law, Ray DeBey.

Johanna Rozeboom, 93, of Sioux Center died Thursday, October 11, at Pleasant Acres Care Center of Hull. Funeral services were Monday at 10:30 a.m. at First Reformed Church of Sioux Center with the Rev. Roger Voskuil officiating. Interment was in Memory Gardens Cemetery of Sioux Center.

Survivors are her daughter, Verna Reeverts and her husband Jim of Lakeland, Florida; two sons, Henry Rozeboom and his wife Margaret of Lowell, Michigan, and Vern Rozeboom and his wife Kathy of Sioux Center; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Dena De Bey of Sioux Center; and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Bernard Rozeboom; one brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Sadie Wolfswinkel; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Hattie and Ralph Vander Berg and Jennie and Bernie Schoep; and a brother-in-law, Ray DeBey.

The Rozeboom family prefers memorials be directed to First Reformed Church of Sioux Center.
