Otto J. Meins
Otto J. Meins, 76, of rural Hawarden, died Monday, August 13, 1990, after a lengthy illness at the Hawarden Community Hospital.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawarden, with the Rev. Lpren Vogler officiating.
Burial was in Riverside Cemetery in Akron under the direction of the Porter-Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden.
Mr. Meins was born March 16, 1914, in Garden City, MN, the son of Fred and Elize (Mangleson) Meins. He moved to the Akron area with his
family as a youngster. He married Bernadine Muth on February 20,1941, at Ireton. They farmed in the Hawarden area. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons and their wives, Larry and Clarene of Vermillion, SD 'and Jerry and Margene of Missouri City, TX; two brothers, Henry of Cushing, IA and Charles of
Warrensburg MO; three sisters, Martha LaFranz of Luverne, MN, Evelyn Taggart of Vermillion, SD and Mrs. Howard (Ann) Wilkinson of Sioux City, IA; three grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by a sister,Mary Bierwith and two brothers, George and Fred.
