Obituary: HAWARDEN, IOWA- Jeri J. Winn, 46, passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, October 14, 2007 at Sanford Health in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Hawarden United Methodist Church with Rev. Tim Walker officiating. Visitation with the family present will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden.
Jeri J. Winn was born April 23, 1961 in Hawarden, Iowa, the daughter of Harvey and Arlys Peters. She graduated from West Sioux in 1979 and attended Buena Vista and Sioux Empire College. Jeri married Walter Winn on June 2, 1982 in Winner, South Dakota. The couple moved to Washington where both were employed by Boeing Aircraft in Everett.
Jeri enjoyed golfing, fishing, tennis, gardening, and watching her children participate in sports and school activities.
Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer and son, Tony Winn; her mother, Arlys Peters; and grandson, Jesse all of Hawarden; sisters, Rhonda (Elwood) McHaffie of Orlando, Florida and Jolee Thurn of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; and grandmother, Nellie Luhrs of Primghar, Iowa; and a host of friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; father, Harvey Peters; and infant brother, David.
Jeri had the gift of laughter and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
