Obituary
Of Mrs. Richard Sipma Buried Wed.
Funeral Services Were Held From The First Reformed Church. Church Overflowing
Mrs. Richard Sipma. who so suddenly passed away on Saturday morning. July 24, 1943. at the Samaritan hospital in St. Paul. Minn., of a heart ailment, was laid to rest last Wednesday, beside her father and sister in Hope cemetery. Services were held from the First Reformed Church at Hull with Rev. R. A. Jager officiating. The thoughts for Rev. Jager's sympathetic words were taken from Hebrews 11 1-10.
At the services, three beautiful ymns. "Sometime We'll Understand" "Near to the Heart of God" and "Looking This Way" were suns by a mixed quartet composed of Mrs. Donald De Boer. 'Mrs. Bert Koele. Mr. R. Gosselhik and Mr. John Gorzeman with Mrs. Lawrence Oelrich at the piano.
The large church was filled to capacity by the deceased's many friends who came to pay their last tribute to a dear one.
The many large and beautiful floral offerings were a significant reminder of the high esteem in which she was held by all who knew her.
Pall bearers were Dr. A. C. Brown. Arthur Kooiker, Wilfred Keckman. Ralph Kooiker. John W. Vande Berg and John Gorzeman.
Mrs. Richard Sipma. nee Mildred Anna Wallinga, was born on the farm home at Hull, Iowa. March 9.
1915. She lived at that place with her parents throughout all her grade school years. She then attended Hull High School for four years, graduating-with her class in 1933.
During the year 1934 she attended Iowa State Teachers College at Cedar Falls, where she made preparation for her life's work, namely the
teaching profession.
She Taught in rural schools in Lyon county for eight years and one year in Sioux county.
She was married to Mr. Richard Sipma on November 21. 1942. at Sioux City. Iowa. Death terminated this marriage after eight months and three days.
She will long be remembered by characteristics that have embedded themselves deeply in the hearts of her loved ones. Her generous nature,
thoughtfulness of others, andher love for the finer things of life will not be soon forgotten.
She was a member in full communion of the American Reformed Church at Hull.
Her father preceeded her in death five years before on November 16,1937. Besides her husband, she is survived by her mother. Mrs. Delia Wallinga; two sisters. Mrs. Edythe Bomgaars and Miss Harriet J. Wallinga: and one brother, Merrill H. Wallinga.

From the Sioux County Capital of July 29, 1943 Orange City.
Mrs. Richard Sipma (nee Mildred Wallinga), 30 years of age, passed away suddenly in a hospital at St. Paul, MN, at 7 o'clock Saturday morning, July 24. Mrs. Sipma had been confined to the hospital there for the passt several weeks under the care of her uncle Dr. John Wallinga. She was suffering from an enlarged heart.
