JOHN TE GROTENHUIS.
Funeral services were held Friday in the Newkirk church for John Te Grotenhuis, 70, a lifelong resident of Newkirk, who was found dead in bed Wednesday at 2 p. m. Rev. Z. Roetman officiated and burial was in Newkirk cemetery. The body of Mr. Te Groten-huis, who was a bachelor, was found in his home by Bert Solsma, who had gone for his mail and stopped to visit with Mr. Te Grotenhuis. When he received no answer to his knock Mr. Solsma opened the door and saw the body lying on the bed. He then called Ben Te Grotenhuis and they then called Coroner Vander Ploeg of Sioux Center who pronounced the death due to a heart attack. Surviving are the brothers Gerrit J. Te Grotenhuis, sr. of Orange City and Edward Te Grotenhuis of Crawford, Colo, and 1 sister Mrs. John De Vries of Hollandale, Minn.
