HULL NEWS - OBITUARY ALBERT TEN HAKEN.
Albert Ten Haken was bom at Cedar Grove, Wis. on Nov. 19, 1874. In Feb., 1900 he was united in marriage to Dorkje Baker at Carmel, Ia. by Rev. J. W. Te Selle. They resided in Hull and the family has always lived in and around Hull. Albert was an industrious farmer and a booster for the cooperative associations. ...............................etc. [*see the print]............. he died Thursday evening, Oct 2, 1941. He leaves to mourn his departure his wife, Dirkje and six children, 3 daughters, Johanna, (Mrs. Ben Boonestroo), Ruth (Mrs. Bernie Wolfswinkle), Margaret (Mrs. Wm. De Leeuw). 3 sons, John, Willis and Arthur, all living in Sioux County; 17 grandchildren, also 2 brothers in Wisconsin, Gerrit and Henry, 1 sister, Mrs. Jane Huibregtse of Sheldon, Iowa. Funeral services were held on Monday, Oct. 6th at 1 o'clock from the Ben Boonestroo home and 1:30 from the First Reformed Church in charge of Rev. Douwstra. A young men's quartet sang "Face to Face" and Bert Ter Maat sang "Sweet Hour of Prayer". Pal bearers were J, Moss, A. Faber W. Postma, J. Gorzeman, H. Bomgaars and J. Vander Griend.
