Obituaries - MRS. G. J. VOS.
Funeral services for Mrs. G. J. Vos was held Tuesday at 1 o'clock at the home and 2 o'clock at the First Christian Reformed church at Orange City, with Rev. Mr. J. Schuurmann in charge. Mrs. Vos died Saturday. Mrs. Vos was born February 14, 1865, at Varsseveld, The Netherlands. Mr. and Mrs. Vos came to the United States in 1913 and lived near Orange City for three years. From then on they lived on a farm four miles west and 1 mile north of Orange City. She is survived by 4 children and 6 grandchildren. Mr. Vos having died 8 years ago. They are H. Vos of Ireton, Mrs. H. Te Velde of Brooten, Minn, and 6 grandchildren and C. Vos and Miss Bertha Vos at home. Also by her brothers and sisters, E. Christian Gesink of Orange City, Mrs. Christina Pennnings, Mrs. Gesink Vreugdtenhil, Mrs. Gesink Brunsveld, all of The Netherlands, H. Gesink of Sioux Center, Mrs. J. Rutgers of Bigelow, Minn. Mrs. Vos was of a quiet disposition and her life was indeed exemplary.
