Lillian E. Wamtjes, 80 of Sioux Center, Iowa died February 28,1993 at the Sioux Center Community Hospital in Sioux Center.
Lillian, daughter of John and Annie (Rozeboom) Kempers, was born March 2, 1912 in Sioux Center, Iowa. She spent her life in t he Sioux Center area.
She married Richard Wamtjes on October 9, 1935 in Sioux Center. The couple farmed northeast of Sioux Center. She was a member of First Reformed Church, active in circle and as a Sunday School teacher.
She is survived by four daughters: Anna Mae (Mrs. Ken) Horstman, of Sioux Center, Iowa; Ruth (Mrs. Ernest) Moss, of Hull, Iowa; Maxine (Mrs. Richard) Lampe, of Storm Lake, Iowa; Luella (Mrs. Larry) Johnson, of Springfield, Missouri; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers: Dr. John Kempers, of Seal Beach, California; Bernard Kempers, of SilverSpring, Maryland; Marion Kempers, of Hull, Iowa; and one sister Min Mouw of Wilmar, Minnesota.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, brothers: Gerrit and Bert, sisters: Dena Schuiteman, Jo Beernink, and Betty Heneveld.
