Pioneer Laid To Rest.
The funeral of John(*?) Oolbekkink(*?) mention of whose(*?) death(*?) was ....... last week, was ......... ............. ................ ............. [*unreadable] Saturday and was ........... ........... [*unreadable] Deceased was born in Deventer(*?), Netherlands, on December 3, 1849, and was 72 years and 8 months at the time of his death. As a young man he came to hw came to America and was one of the early settlers of this vicinity. His wife died in April 1911, and a daughter, Mrs. Ella Huygens, died ........................................................... and (*also died?? or survived?) five children, Mrs. Jane Teeselink of Crawford, Colorado, Mrs. H. Vanderpol of Newkirk, Mrs. Ed Grotenhuis of Hospers and Ben and Ed at home. We had the pleasure of getting acquainted with the old gentleman the past years and found him a kindly and splendid old man and always enjoyed his visits. The Tribune extends sympathy to the bereaved relatives.
