Funeral services for Mrs. Ralph Vande Berg, 85, of Sioux Center were Tuesday at the First Reformed church at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Albert Ten Clay officiated. Burial was in the Sioux Center cemetery. Mrs. Vande Berg died Saturday at a Sioux Center hospital where she had been a patient of the nursing wing for several years.
Mrs. Vande Berg, the former Ella Kosters, was born Dec. 15, 1880 at Sioux Center. She married Ralph Vande Berg in 1900 at Sioux Center. He died in 1955.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Tony Ravensway and Mrs. Henry Punt, both of Sioux Center; four sons, John, Henry, and Ralph, all of Sioux Center, and William, Sheldon, a brother Henry Kosters, Rock Valley, a sister, Mrs. R. J. Vander Schaaf, Sioux Center; 39 grandchildren; and 88 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the First Reformed Church at 1:340 P.M. Tuesday, December 13, for Mrs. Ralph (Ella) Van De Berg, 85, lifelong resident of Sioux Center community, who passed away Saturday.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Albert Ten Clay and burial was made in the Sioux Center Community Cemetery under the direction of the Co-op Funeral Home.

Casket bearers were Elmer Van De Berg, Richard Van Ravenswaay, Harold Van De Berg, Donald Punt, Allen Van De Berg, Howard Van De Berg.

Mrs. Van De Berg, nee Ella Kosters, was born in Sioux Center December 15, 1880. She was united in marriage to Ralph Van De Berg in 1900 in Sioux Center. To this union seven children were born, six of whom survive her.

Survivors include four sons, John, Ralph and Henry of Sioux Center and William of Sheldon, two daughters, Gardena (Mrs. Tony Van Ravenswaag) and Minnie (Mrs. Henry Punt) both of Sioux Center; 39 grandchildren and 88 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. R.J. Vander Schaaf of Sioux Center, and one brother, Henry Kotsers, Rock Valley.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1955; one daughter, Dora, in 1938; and three brothers and two sisters.
