Jane Veldboom
Miss Jane Veldboom passed away at the Panska Home in Hawarden, August 2, at the age of 89 years, 8 months.
Funeral services were Friday from Barnard's funeral home at Hawarden and from the Maurice Reformed church where she was a member.
Burial was at the Maurice cemetery, next to her mother.
She was born at Alto, Wise., Dec. 11, 1865, and moved at an early age to Maurice with her mother, brother and sisters. She had lived at Maurice the rest of her life with the exception of a few years that she spent in the convalescent home at Hawarden. She gained many friends in her lifetime and was liked by all who knew her. Her illness was very brief. She suffered a heart attack from which she never rallied. She leaves to mourn her loss, one sister, Mrs. O. W. Carlson of Puyalley, Wash., who was unableto attend the funeral.
She also leaves several nieces and nephews to mourn her loss.
