Funeral Services for George Riemersma, Retired Co-op Society Manager Monday

Funeral services were held at Central Reformed church here at 10 a.m. Monday, January 26, for George Riemersma, 75, retired Farmers Co-op Society manager and longtime resident of the community, who died at the Sioux Center Community hospital January 22.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Albert Ten Clay and burial was made in the Sioux Center Community Cemetery under the direction of Vander Ploeg's Funeral home.

Mr. Riemersma was born in Chicago July 20, 1894, and moved to Sioux Center as a boy. He attended the local schools and served in the U. S. Army during World War I. He was a 50 year member of Doornink Brunsting American Legion post.

Mr. Riemersma served as manager of the Farmers Co-op Society here tor 42 years prior to his retirement in May 1959.

He is survived by a brother, Ben of St. Joseph, Michigan.
