Walter Hensch
ROCK RAPIDS-Walter Hensch, 82, of Rock Rapids died Tuesday, May 31, 1988, at his home. Services were held on Friday in St. John Lutheran Church, rural Boyden. Rev. William Lewis officiated.

Mr. Hensch was born Oct. 21, 1921, in Weston, Minn., son of August and Sophia (Reyelts) Hensch. He lived his youth in the Weston area and moved with his family to the Boyden-Hull area. He married Marie Hundt June 9, 1940, in rural Boyden. The couple farmed in the Boyden-Hull area until 1984 when they moved to Rock Rapids. Mr. Hensch was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Ardith) Tofteland of Luverne, Minn, and Mrs. Duane (Ruth) Auckland of Des Moines, Wash.; three brothers, Ernest of St. Joe, Ark., Raymond of LaPuente, Calif, and Kenneth of Willmar, Minn.; two sisters, Mrs. Alma Pica of Prior Lake, Minn, and Mrs. Grant (Maybelle) Kuhn of Fargo, ND and two grandchildren, David and Anne Tofteland. He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother, one daughter, three brothers and seven sisters.
