DIED SUDDENLY AT HOME NEAR ALCESTER TUESDAY

Survived by Husband and One Son. Funeral Services Will be Held Friday Afternoon
Mrs. Merton L. Henry, a former resident of the Hawarden community, was found dead by members of her family at her home, five miles west of Alcester, about 4 o'clock Tuesday afternoon.
Mrs. Henry had been afflicted with epilepsy for. a number of years and this is believed to have been responsible for her death. When found she was seated in a chair but life was extinct.

Funeral services will beheld at the home at 1:30 Friday afternoon and at 2:30 at the Methodist church in Hawarden, with Rev. Robt. H. Forrester in charge. Interment will be made in Grace Hill cemetery.

Amy Josephine Nelson was born at Stratford, Iowa, May 20, 1893, so at the time of her death lacked but 17 days of being 39 years of age. She moved with her parents to Alcester in 1914. On Nov. 4, 1917, she was united in marriage with Merton Lewis Henry. For the first year following their marriage they made their home with. Mr. Henry's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Henry, west of Hawarden. They then moved onto a farm, five miles southeast of Hawarden, where they resided for five years, but for nearly ten years past have lived on their own place, five miles west of Alcester.

Two children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Henry, Alvie Lewis, now 13 years old, and Beatrice Arlene, who died in her third year. After the death of Mr. Henry's sister, Mrs. Fred Peterson, they took their little niece, Lavonne Peterson, into their home and she has since been cared for as a member of the family. Besides her husband, son and niece Mrs; Henry is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gus Nelson of Hawarden; three brothers, Evert and Vernie Nelson of Hawarden and Ray Nelson of Sioux Falls, and two sisters, Mrs. Joe Edmund of Centerville, S. D., and Mrs. Floyd Strong of Hawarden
