George W. Henry Died March 23rd.

George Henry, a resident of this community for a number of years, passed away about 2 o'clock last Thursday afternoon at the home of 'his cousin, Ervin Henry, in Hawarden, following a heart attack.

Funeral services were held at the Barnard Funeral home at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon, with Rev. V. W. Bell of the Methodist church in charge. It was a. military funeral, with the American Legion in charge at the grave in Grace Hill cemetery.

George Washington Henry, son of Mr. and Mrs. William. A. Henry, was born in Carroll county, Maryland, on April 6, 1890, and passed away March 23, 1944, at the age of 53 years, 11 months and 17 days. He came west with his parents in 1909 and lived in this vicinity until 10 years ago when he returned east. He came back to Hawarden last summer. He was a veteran of World War No. 1, serving in France for a time.

He is survived iby four brothers and two sisters, Herbert, Frank and Charles Henry and Mrs. Chester Marshall of Hawarden; Laurence of Bellflower, Calif., and Mrs. Ira Shoop of Elk Point. His parents, four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
