MRS. GERTRUDE HENNINK
Funeral services were held Monday, December 31, at 2 o'- clock at the First Reformed church of Rock Valley for Mrs. Gertrude Hennink, who passed away at her home December 28 at the age of 77 years, 11 months and 8 days. She had been ill for some time following a heart attack.

Services at the Vander Ploeg Funeral home were held immediately preceding the church services with Rev. A. A. Dykstra officiating. Burial was held at the Valley View Cemetery in Rock Valley.
Gertrude Ver Doorn was born January 20, 1879 in the Netherlands and came to this country at the age of 16. She married Jake Hennink in 1899.

Survivors include two daughters, Anna, Mr. Jake VanderWeerd, and Marie Mrs. Asa Bonthuis, of Rock Valley; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three brothers, Dick Ver Doorn and Arie VerDoon of Hollandale MN, and Anthony Verdoorn of Bellflower Ca.; and one sister, Mrs. Lena Van Zee of Rock Valley.
She was preceded in death by her husband in September, 1922, and by a daughter Emma, Mrs. Peter Bonthuis in January 1953.
