Mrs. George (Lillian) Henrich, 78, of Alton died Monday in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness. Services were at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton. Monsignor Nicholas Ruba of Alton, the Rev. Gerald Hartz of Algona and the Rev. Robert Gralapp of Granville concelebrated. Burial was in the parish cemetery under direction of the Fisch Funeral Home of Remsen.

Mrs. Henrich, the former Lillian Noethe, was born Sept. 21, 1909 in Alton, the daughter of Louis and Susan (Haupert) Noethe. She was raised and educated in the Alton area and graduated from St. Mary's Academy in 1927. She married George Henrich June 27, 1929 in Alton. The couple made their home at Alton. He died Oct. 26, 1986. Mrs. Henrich was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Rosary Society of the church.

Survivors include a son, Dr. Edward Henrich of Remsen; two daughters, Mrs. Leon (Ruth) Meis of Granville and Mrs. Carl (Mary Sue) Sierp of Key West, Fla.; a brother, Dr. E.M. Noethe of Newton; two sisters, Mrs. Magnus (Silveria) Konz of Hospers and Mrs. Chris (Stella) Schneider of Cherokee; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Mrs. Paul (Barbara) Von Arb.
