Mr. Henry T. DeWild, age 65, of Hull, passed away Sunday, Jan. 27 at the Sheldon Community Memorial Hospital.

Henry Tunis De Wild was born Dec. 3, 1919, on a farm near Newkirk, the son of Conrad De Wild and Winnie Brunsting De Wild. On Feb. 14, 1941 he married Mabel Annetta Sawyer at Hull. She passed away April 9, 1970. On Aug. 8, 1972 he married Wilma Vander Werff Jansma at Hull. Henry farmed near Hull until retiring to town in December of 1983.

He was a member of the First Reformed Church of Hull where he served as an elder on the consistory and sang in the senior choir. He was also a member of the Hull Kiwanis Club.

Survivors include his wife; son, Dennis of Shenandoah; daughter, Cheryl Warntjes of Rock Rapids; stepdaughter, Mrs. Rick (Delores) Vander Berg of Orange City; stepson James Jansma of Chino, CA; and two sisters, Mrs. Dirk (Angeline) Aardsma of Oak Lawn, IL; and Mrs. Norman (Ruby) Vander Lee of Rock Rapids.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 30 at the First Reformed Church of Hull with the Rev. Gerald Vander Velde officiating. Interment followed at Hope Cemetery in Hull, under the direction of the Kraai-Oolman Funeral Home of Hull.
