Ewald H. Goeringcr, 91,of Hull died Wednesday,
November 2, at the Heart Hospital of South
Dakota in Sioux Falls.
Funeral service was Monday at 1:30 p.m. at St . Paul Lutheran Church in rural Hull with the Rev. John Higgle officiating. Interment was at the church cemetery.

Goeringer was born August 5, 1914, at Rock Rapids, the son of the Rev. Edward and Emma (Schueler) Goeringer. He was baptized into the
Lutheran faith on September 6, 1914, and attended country school in Lincoln Township. He was confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church. In 1936 he studied at the Hemphill Diesel Engineering School in Chicago, Illinois.

On March 4, 1937, he married Esther M. Reyelts. They made their home in Hull, where he was an automobile mechanic at Kooiker Chevrolet.
While working there, he was badly burned and needed several years to recover He then returned to Kooiker's,and later he and two of his brothers, Arthur and Walter, operated the Goeringer Garage. He also worked at the Ford Garage. From 1953 to 1976, he was a custodian for
the Boyden-Hull Community Schools, where he took pride in caring for the school building.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. In later years, he worshipped through video recordings of services. He enjoyed being
with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years; a daughter and her husband, Dolores and Cornelius Wabeke of Newell; a son, Lelon Goeringer of Hull; two grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren;
a brother and his wife, Walter and Betty Goeringer of Hull; a sister, Viola Ackerman of
Bismarck, North Dakota; a sister-inlaw, Viola Goeringer of Bellevue, Washington; two brothers-in-law, William Reyelts and his wife Marian
of Hull and Alfred Winter of Pima, Arizona; and nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in deaht by eight sisters and three brothers, Irma Hollander, Ernest Goeringer,
Amanda Goeringer, Elsie Goeringer, Maida Schumacher, Hilda Hollander, Ella Heinle, Irene
Goeringer, Otto Goeringer, Edna Goeringer and Arthur Goeringer. Memorials will be directed to the St. Paul Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
