Milford Holm, 50, of Beresford. died Wednesday evening, October 8, after suffering a heart attack while hunting with his brother-in-law near Wakonda, S. D.
Mr. Holm lived in Hawarden while he was manager of the K & K store here 20 years ago. He went to Beresford from here where he operated a general store known as Mel's Market for a number of years. Later he entered the insurance business.
Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Saturday at Emmanuel Lutheran church at Beresford. Mr. Holm was a member of the nationally known Sunshine Four barbershop quartet and was a member of the Beresford city council.
He was born April 12, 1909 at Bruce, S. .D., and attended South Dakota State college.
He is survived by the widow; a son, Dennis, a freshman at South Dakota State college at Brookings; two daughters, Marcia Rae and Mary Kay, two brothers and one sister.
