Mrs. F. H. Stienberg, who for many months has been in a feeble condition of health passed away quietly Sunday morning, surrounded by her children and entered into the life eternal from which no one ever return and which, to the troubled and care worn, is a sweet and peaceful rest. The funeral service took place from the home on Second street on Monday afternoon the Rev. Chase Conducting them.
Mrs. Steinberg's maiden name was Experience Harwood. She was born in Malone, in Franklyn county, NY on May 24th 1834. In 1853 she was married to Frederick H. Steinberg. The young couple moved to Crete, Il. where they resided until 1884 when they removed to Sioux county at Hull, where the family has since resided. Seven children were born to them, three hoys and four girls, two sons and two daughters surviving their parent. Five years after coming to Iowa, the husband and companion died, leaving the widow to continue life's journey alone; The children with the exception of Will, who with
his family are residents of Hull, have for the most of the time of her widowhood, been widely separated from their mother, though often times being visited by her and visiting her here, cheering her by their presence consequentlv she has the more keenly felt the loneliness of her life just enbed and was no doubt well pleased that rest and contentment were finally hers.
The remains were borne to Lincoln township cemetary, there to lie beside the ones who had preceded her.
