VELLINGA, KNEUBEL, DEKKER

Sioux Center News, February 26, 1992

Christina M. Vellinga, 69, of Ireton, died Wednesday, February 19 at her home in Ireton.

Services were Monday at Christian Reformed Church in Ireton, with the Rev. Martin Vander Vliet officiating. Burial was at Ireton's Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Vellinga, the former Christina Kneubel, was born July 30, 1922, at Ireton, the daughter of Titus & Fina (Dekker) Kneubel. She graduated from Ireton High School in 1940. She married Marion Vellinga on June 3, 1941, at Ireton. He died October 1, 1974. She had been employed at the PNM Animal Health Center in Ireton for the past 15 years.

She was a member of the Christian Reformed Church and attended the Coffee Break Bible Study in Ireton.

Survivors include her daughter, Diana Vellinga of Sioux City; six sisters, Jeanette Brouwer of Zeeland, MI; Trennie Cooper of Momence, IL; Lena Van Bruggen of Ireton; Fannie Dekker of Ireton and Helen Van Bruggen and Laverne Van Zyl, both of Lansing, IL.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Mark; a brother, John Kneubel; and two sisters, Allie Beimers and Henrietta Vande Kieft.

She was preceded in death by a son, Mark; a brother, John Kneubel; and two sisters, Allie Beimers and Henrietta Vande Kieft.
