After more than a year's suffering and gradual decline caused by that dread disease consumption, Mrs. Jennie Doan passed from this life into the glorius rest and joy of those who love the Lord.
Mrs. Doan was born and spent her youthful days in Canada and was married there. About seventeen years ago she and her husband and her parents Mr. and Mrs. Boomer with their family came to the USA and made their home on farms north of Hull. They were intelligent and industrious and had good success, and a few years agot built their present home near Hull and Moved there. Mrs. Doan was a sincere Christian and had the respect and admiration of all for her sterling good qualities. She leaves a husband, Two daughters and one son to mourn her loss besides many other relatives and friends. She was interred in Hope cemetery on Thursday afternoon.
(Mrs. Eliza J. Doan was bron 9 May 1851 and died 22 Aug 1899 buried in Hope Cemetery Hull (no stone exists) Her husband was Charles Doan b. 23 Jan or Feb 1848 Canada died 2 Feb 1936 buried in Hope Cemetery Hull. In the 1885 census of Lincoln Tsp Sioux County Chas. was 34 Eliza J. was 32, children were Levina F. 10, William E. 8, and Mary H. age 6.)
