Anna Kruizenga
Anna Kruizenga, 91, of Sioux Center died Sunday, November 14, 2004 at Orange City Health System in Orange City.
Services were at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center with the Rev. Arnold Punt officiating.
Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Kruizenga was born May 1, 1913, to Ryn and Effie (Eppinga) Fylstra in rural Perkins. She was raised on the family farm and attended country school through the eighth grade. She married Art Kruizenga on August 24, 1937, in Sioux Center. He preceded her in death on May 2, 1976. For the first years of their marriage, they lived on the Kruizenga family homestead near Sioux Center. Later, they settled on their farm west of Maurice. They farmed near Maurice until retiring to their Sioux Center residence. For the last year, she had lived at Kosgrove Estate. She was a member of First Reformed Church. She was a private person who enjoyed spending time in her hobby room She loved creating a variety of crafts and ceramics of all types.
Survivors include a son and his wife, Harvard and Ravina Kruizenga of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas; a daughter, Elaine Jahde of Maurice; a daughter and her husband, Rosalie and Marc Chapman of Le Mars; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Evelyn Vermeer of Orange City and Rena De Boer of Milaca, Minnesota.
She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Richard L. Jahde; a grandson, three brothers & four sisters.
