Donna M. (Ver Hoef) Jacobsen, cherished mother, grandmother, friend, and long time resident of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away at age 75 on Wednesday, April 27, 2011.
Donna was born in Sioux Center, Iowa, to Sam & Cora Ver Hoef. Donna was the beloved wife of the late Lt. Col. David "Jake" Jacobsen, USAF. Admired mother of Dana Jacobsen Randall, Daniel (Joy) Jacobsen, beloved grandmother of Grace, Emma, Mark and Tina and great-grandmother to Tori, Hope, Tessa and Christian.
Survived by brother Lyle (Myrna) Ver Hoef and their children. Donna was involved in the Las Vegas golf community, Community Lutheran church, Assistance League and her bridge club. Donna was well respected and admired. Among her many attributes were her wonderful sense of
humor, wit, wisdom, graciousness and hospitality. She loved to entertain and to be surrounded by her family and friends. She will be forever missed. Services will be held July 22, 2011, at 10:30 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, 2510 380th Street, Rock Valley, Iowa.
