Nellie Jager, 96, of Sioux City, formerly of Maurice, died Thursday, July 29, 1999 at the Harvest Westside Nursing Home in Sioux City.
Funeral services were Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center with the Rev. Wayne Sneller officiating.
Burial was in the Sherman Township Cemetery in Maurice.
Mrs. Jager was born to John and Tryntje (Faber) Roghair on January 31, 1903, in Maurice. She married Sam Jager on November 25, 1921. She worked for the Maurice Telephone Company for many years. She retired to the Floyd Valley apartments in Le Mars, and she moved to the Harvest Westside Nursing Home in Sioux City in 1994. She loved to play cards. She was a member of Maurice Reformed Church.
Survivors include her son, John and Lila of Sioux City; 14 grandchildren; 32 great- grandchildren; and four great-greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Albert; a daughter, Katherine; and a grandson.
