Sioux Center News, April 30, 1959

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the First Reformed Church of Orange City for Miss Sue De Lint, 69, long time resident of Orange City, who passed away at the Grossmann hospital Saturday evening after a lingering illness.

Rev. H. Colenbrander officiated, assisted by Rev. N. Reck. Burial was made in the Orange City cemetery under the direction of Van Etten Funeral Home.

Miss De Lint was born November 25, 1889, in The Netherlands, and came to America with her parents in 1893. They settled in Orange City and she spent the remainder of her life there.

Miss De Lint taught in the rural schools of the Orange City vicinity for 25 years and later for 17 years in the Orange City public school. She was a Sunday school teacher in the First Reformed Church at Orange City for many years.

Surviving are the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. John Bos of Monroe, SD; Mrs. Lane Vander Stoep of Lakewood, CA: James De Lint of Twin Brooks, SD; Mrs. John Maris of Bellflower, CA; Mrs. Henry Muilenburg of Sheldon; Henry De Lint of Harris; and Ann De Lint, with whom she made her home in Orange City.

Three sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
