Mrs. Antone Slothouber residing one and a half miles south of Alton dropped dead Wednesday evening at six o'clock. She had not been in robust health for years but had worked right along and had sewed all day before her death. She was sitting down just before supper and suddenly fell off her chair.

Deceased was born in the Netherlands fifty-one years ago and was married there at about the age of twenty-two. The family came to this country eighteen years ago.

Nine children were born to this home--one dying in infancy. Eight survive to mourn with the father. One is Mrs. John Dorothy of Sioux Falls and another Mrs. Walter Hoekstra of Orange City. The other six are at home. Two are young ladies old enough to care for the home. The youngest is aged nine.

Deceased was Hattie Klein Bekman--a sister to J. H. Klein Bekman of Alton and Mrs. G. Korselman of Middleburg. The funeral will be held this Saturday from the home at one and the church at two.
