From the Alton Democrat, March 23, 1907: County Seat News:

Mrs. Dick Versteeg--nee Roghair--died last Monday evening [March 18] at the age of twentyfive years. The funeral services were held Thursday afternoon conducted by Rev. Staplekamp.

Her husband's obituary (Sioux County Capital, Dec. 20, 1945) gives her name as Johanna Roghair and says that she died soon after giving birth to a son, John K., on March 18, 1907.

The Sioux County Cemetery Index has Ver Steeg, Johanna (Roghair), born 3 Apr 1881, died 18 Mar 1907, wife of D. VerSteeg, buried in West Lawn Cemetery, Orange City.
