Funeral services were held Monday, June 20, for Mrs. William Van Steenwyk at LeMars with burial also in LeMars.

Mrs. Van Steenwyk was born August 9, 1890 in Holland. She came to the United States at the age of three. She lived in Rock Valley until moving to LeMars in 1939.

The former Bessie Hyman, she was married to William Van Steenwyk, July 19, 1937 in Orange City.

Survivors include the widower; two brothers, Casey of Hull, and Sonne of Rock Valley; two sisters Mrs. Minnie Albertus of Pierre, SD, and Mrs. Nellie Perrion of Hollywood, Calif.
