Artie Ver Mulm, 88, of Rock Valley, died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 1992 at the Rock Valley hospital.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at the First Reformed Church in Rock Valley. The Rev. Harlan De Jong officiated. Burial was in the Valley View Cemetery in Rock Valley under direction of the Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley.

Mrs. Ver Mulm was born July 12, 1904 in Middleburg, the daughter of Conrad and Lena (Ver Doorn) Van Zee. She moved with her family to Rock Valley in 1906. She married Cornelius (Case) Ver Mulm Feb. 25, 1920 at Rock Rapids. He died Jan. 16, 1960. She moved to the Valley Manor in Rock Valley on April 30, 1992.

Mrs. Ver Mulm was a member of the First Reformed Church and the church choir for 30 years. She was also a member of the Dorcas Society and the Rock Valley Senior Citizens.

Survivors include three sons and their wives, Leonard and Mabel and Robert and Johanna, all of Rock Valley; and Lyle and Jean of Lakewood, Calif.; four daughters, Elsie De Jongh of Buena Park, Calif., Lena and her husband Ernie Reaper of Mansfield, Ark., Jeanette and her husband Jack Wegge of Dearborn Heights, Mich., and Frances and her husband Chuck Hegwein of Columbia, Calif.; two brothers and their wives, Henry and Jean Van Zee and Richard and Sophie Van Zee, all of Rock Valley; a sister and her husband, Evalena and Moss Van Holland of Chino, Calif.; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Warren (Agnes) Damkot of Ten Strike, Minn.; 21 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Conrad; a brother, Alvin Van Zee; an infant brother; two sisters, Emma Vander Bok and Henrietta Dempsey, and a son-in-law, Willis De Jongh.
