Rock Valley Bee, July 27, 1944

Mr. Peter Ver Maat passed away on Sunday morning at his home after a long illness attended with much suffering. He was born in Barendrecht, Zuid Holland, Netherlands, and had attained the age of 67 years. He leaves to mourn his departure his beloved wife and 3 sons, namely, Ed of Grand Rapids, MI; Lloyd of Orange City and William of Grand Rapids, MI and seven grandchildren, one brother Wm. Ver Maat of Rock Valley.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday at 1 o'clock from the home and 1:30 from the Christian Reformed Church. Services were in charge of Rev. J. Hanenburg.
