Herman Veltkamp, 71, died Wednesday in his home in Holland. He was born July 14, 1912 near Downs, Kan.

He married Martha Van Kley, March 24, 1938 near Rock Valley, IA., where they farmed for 10 years. In 1948 they moved to a farm near Holland, until 1975. After that they lived in Pipestone for four years, returning to Holland in 1979.

Survivors include his wife; two sons: Harold & Kenneth, both of Holland; a daughter, Mrs. Cornelius (Mary) Van Ewyk, Luverne, MN; 10 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; three brothers: Henry & Sam, Rock Valley; and Martin, Grand Rapids, MI; and three sisters; Mrs. Martha Verburg, Rock Valley, Mrs. Richard (Hattie) Dekker, Chicago Heights, IL, and Mrs. Coba Vanderbok, Rock Valley.

Services were held on Saturday, Jan. 14, at 1:30 P.M., in the Christian Reformed Church, with burial in the Holland Cemetery.
