JAKE HOOGLAND
Jake Hoogland, 88, of Sioux Center, died Tuesday
in a Sioux Center hospital.
Services were at 1:30 PM. Thursday in the Bethel Christian Reformed Church at Sioux Center. The Rev. C. Van Schouwen an the Rev.B.J. Haan officiated.
Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery under direction of the Memorial funeral Home.
Mr. Hoogland was born July 30, 1891, in the Netherlands. He came to the United States and to Sioux Center in 1902.
He married Grace Vande Kamp Nov. 30, 1917, near Middleburg. They farmed near Orange City, in the Middleburg area and near Sioux Center, retiring to Sioux Cetner in 1949, The Survivors include the widow; three sons, Alfred J. of Orange City, Gerrit J. of Loveland, CO., and Peter of Maurice; one daughter (Alice) Nibbelink of Orange City; 25 grand children and 45 great grandchildren.
