DEATH CALLS 3-YEAR-OLD GIRL
Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jake Hoogland Died Tuesday Night
Betty Joan Hoogland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jake Hoogland, who resides southeast of Hawarden in Washington township,passed away at 11 o'clock Tuesday night, following a. lingering illness from a complication of diseases. Betty Joan was born Dec. 13, 1929, and was just past three years of age at tthe time of her death. When a
baby she was baptized in the Lutheran faith. She was a healthy, robust child until four months ago when she was taken ill and grew weaker gradually until the death angel clalimed her. Besides her parents she leaves four sisters, Wanda, Neva, Phyllis and Shirley and one brother, Teddy. Sincere sympathy is extended to the family in the loss of their loved one.
Funeral services will be held at the Lutheran church in this city Saturday afternoon with Rev. George Steinkamp in charge. Burial Will be made in Grace Hill cemetery. (see father's obit Jake Hoogland for more details, mother was Augusta Ball)
