ANN VER WEY RITES ARE HELD TUESDAY

Funeral services for Miss Anna Ver Wey, 69, were held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home, with the Rev. Raymond Roloff officiating. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ed Schmidt, Gene Bunch, Warren Shar, Tom McGill, Marlo Bahnson and Emmett Scanlan. Music was provided by Mrs. Edward De Haas as soloist with Mrs. Pier Wynia at the organ.

Miss Ver Wey died at the Sioux Center Hospital following a brief illness. Miss Ver Wey was born in Rock Valley, May 2, 1897, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Ver Wey. She was a telephone operator with Northwestern Bell Telephone Company for 26 years and for the past eight years had operated the Warren Cafe. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Telephone Pioneer and American Legion Auxiliary.

Her parents, three brothers and one sister preceded her in death. Survivors include a brother, Henry, Grand Rapids, Mich., two sisters, Mrs. John (Gertrude) Baker, also of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Mrs. Alex Heyman, Rock Valley, besides numerous nephews and nieces.
