Rev. Peter Vis, 71, of Fox Lake, Wisconsin, formerly of Hull, passed away Thursday, October 18, in Grand Rapids, Mich. Services were held on Monday, October 22 at the First Christian Reformed Church of Hull. Rev. John Blankespoor and Rev. S. J. Cammenga officiated, Rev. Norman Haan was in charge of the committal services at the Hope Cemetery.

Rev. Vis was born Nov. 19, 1912 in Hull. He married Esther Pals in 1939 in Orange City. She died in 1971. He then married Shirley Sjoerdsma.

He served the Protestant Reformed Church from 1939 to 1959. He served in the Christian Reformed Church from 1959 to 1972. He retired in 1977.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Rev. Ken of Spring Lake, Mich. and Bill of Grand Rapids, Mich., two step-sons, Glen Sjoerdsma and Dave Sjoerdsma of Randolph, Wis., seven daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Elizabeth) De Boer of Edgerton, Minn., Mrs. Jay (Evelyn) Koels, Mrs. Ray (Harriet) Lamse, and Mrs. Chuck (Lois) Hekman, all of Hudsonville, Mich., Mrs. Cal (Winona) Geers of Grant, Mich., Mrs. Mike (Esther) Alsum and Mrs. Tom (Pat) Deur of Prospect Park, N.J., two step daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Louise) Dykstra of Randolph, Wis. and Mrs. John (Ellen) Dekker of Lynden, Wash.; his mother, Hattie Brunsting of Hull, three brothers, Edward of Rock Valley, Walter of Wyoming, Mich. and John of Grand Rapids, Mich., seven sisters, Mrs. Cornie (Elizabeth) Zevenbergen of Baldwin, Wisc., Mrs. Everett (Gertrude) Franken of Sioux Center, Mrs. S. J. (Henrietta) Cammenga of Holland, Mich., Mrs. Gary (Kathryn) Van Kley, Mrs. Jake (Margaret) Teunissen both of Doon, Nell Vis of Hull, Mrs. Phil (Cornelia) Flikkema of Manhattan, Montana, 24 grandchildren and four step grandchildren.
