Mrs. Lucille Nelson,75, of Hawarden, died Jan 11, at the Hawarden Community Hospital. Funeral services were held on Jan. 13, at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hawarden with Father William Carel officiating. Burial services were held at the St. Mary's Cemetery in Hawarden under the direction of Dow Funeral Home.

Mrs. Nelson, the former Lucille Nolan, was born on Sep 6, 1897 at Hawarden where she resided her entire life. She studied music at Sinsinawa College in Dubuque, Iowa. She was married to Roy Nelson on Nov. 24, 1922 in Hawarden. Mrs. Nelson was a member of the St. Mary's Guild past president of the American Legion Auxiliary, and a volunteer at Veterans Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.

Survivors include: one son, Don of Merriam, Kansas; six grandchildren and three sisters, Helen Ambrose of San Diego, Calif., Lulu Feyder of Richmond, Calif., and Alice Beck of Mt. Angel, Oregon
