Mrs, Chris Bockelman, 73, of Hawarden died unexpectedly Friday (Nov. 11, 1977) at home.

Services will be at 10.30 a.m. Monday in St. Mary Catholic Church in Hawarden. The Rev. Gerald Zeman will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The Rosary will be said at 8 p.m. Sunday in Dow Funeral Home at Hawarden.

Mrs. Bockelman, the former Grace Helen McInnis, was born March 8,1904, in Plymouth county. She was married April 19,1923, at Hawarden. The couple farmed in the Hawarden area until moving to Hawarden in 1967. Her husband died May 13,1973. Mrs. Bockelman was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She was employed at Hawarden Community Hospital, and retired about three years ago.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Deloris) Riherd and Mrs. Seth (Lorraine) Hamilton, both of Sioux City; a sister, Mrs. Mae Jones of Westfield; a brother. Hector of Sioux City; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
