John Wesley Dixon ,63,formerly of Hudson died April 23, at the South Bend Indiana hospital where he had been a patient for the past six weeks. Funeral services were held Thursday at the First Congregational Church in Hudson with Rev. Milo Sheldon officiating. Burial services were held at the Buena Vista Memorial Park Cemetery in Storm Lake.

Mr. Dixon was born on Oct. 20, 1909 to Lillian and George Dixton on a farm in Lincoln County. He received his education at McVay rural school and Hudson High School. After his graduation from high school in 1928 he was employed at Linn Grove. On Jan 1 1943 he was united in marriage with Verna Boese at Sioux Rapids. Following their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Dixon resided at Linn Grtove and Omaha, Neb. In 1945 they moved to Hudson where Wesley operated a Produce Hatchery Business. The last ten years he had been employed by the Skyline Trailer Corportation at Elkhart. He had been failing in health for the past five years.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife who died in 1969. He is survived by one brother, Wilbur of Hawarden and one sister, Mrs. Earl (Opal) Schlumbohm also of Hawarden
