Nicholas Henrich was relieved from the suffering he has for so many weeks has been heroically enduring on Friday morning, and is at rest at the early age of thirty-eight. Mr. Henrich has been a valued employee of the Slagle company
for ten years, and had a large circle of friends outside the relatives of himself and wife, He was fortunate in having tbe love and sympathy of so many near relatives during his trying illness. The funeral was held Monday at St. Mary's church, of which he was a devoted member, and was attended by hundreds who wished to show their respect to the worthy life just closed, and the sympathy for the living who mourn his loss. According to an account on ancestry.com, Nicholas was born 13 Sep 1863 in France son of Jacob Henrich 1833-1882 and Anna Maria Weyant 1836-1927 and he died 25 Jan 1901 Alton IA buried in St. Mary's cemetery at Alton. His wife was Gertrude Kass, see his wife's obit for the names of the children and also the obit of his daughter Amelia died 1899.)
