Rachel Ver Wey

Mrs. Tom VerWey, 99, of Rock Valley died Monday [Feb. 2] at a local hospital after a lengthy illness. Funeral services were Wednesday at the Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley. The Rev. James Frank officiated. Burial was in the Valley View Cemetery.

Mrs. VerWey, the former Rachel Cooper, was born November 4, 1881, in Salix. She married Mr. VerWey on November 4, 1914, in Rock Valley. He died January 25, 1974, in Rock Valley.

Survivors include a son, Garrit of Rock Valley.
