Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. January 28 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Rock Valley for Tom Ver Wey, 86, of Rock Valley, who died January 25 at Hegg Memorial Hospital in Rock Valley. Services were conducted by the Rev. Eugene Soland and burial was in Valley View Cemetery at Rock Valley.

Mr. Ver Wey was born June 25, 1887, in The Netherlands. He came to the U.S. at the age of 4 with his parents. He married Rachel Cooper November 4, 1914, in Rock Valley. He was employed as a retail clerk in that community for many years.

Survivors include the widow and one son, Gerrit of Rock Valley.
