Hermina Van Voorst, 89, of Sioux Center died Thursday, May 3, at the Sioux Center Community Health Center, where she had been a resident for the past three years. Services were Saturday, May 5, at 10:30 a.m. at Bethel Christian Reformed Church with the Rev. Robert Drenten officiating. Burial was at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

She was born August 18, 1911, to Bert and Henrietta (Schutt) Van Voorst in Volga, South Dakota. She farmed with her mother and brother, Richard B., until 1982 when they retired and moved to Sioux Center. She was a member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center. She enjoyed studying her Bible and was a very talented seamstress.

Survivors include two brothers and their wives, John B. and Harriet and Theodore and Geraldine, all of Sioux Center. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Richard B.
